Biography

This dark-haired, smokey-voiced former model has ornamented a number of feature films since the early 1980s, notably "Blade Runner" (1982) as Harrison Ford's android lover, and "No Way Out" (1987) as a beautiful seductress caught up in Washington political intrigue (see the pics from that film in her nude gallery).

After her stunning, fatalistic performance as Rachael in "Blade Runner", Sean tripped through such doozies as "The Boost" (1987), "A Kiss Before Dying" (1991) and the unfunny spoof "Fatal Instinct" (1993).

Her career was plagued by bad luck in the late 80s and early 90s: clashes with co-stars Charlie Sheen (on the set of "Wall Street" 1987) and James Woods (1988's "The Boost") provided fodder for the tabloids.

Young was injured in a riding accident forcing her to withdraw from the role of love interest Vicky Vale in "Batman" (1989; Kim Basinger stepped in) and a reported clash with Warren Beatty led to her firing after a few days work as Tess Trueheart in "Dick Tracy" (1990).

She attracted further unwanted attention after she lobbied vigorously but unsuccessfully to play Catwoman in the sequel, "Batman Returns" (1992).

Aside from her dramatic work, Young has also proven herself adept at comedy, whether playing the straight man/love interest of Harold Ramis in "Stripes" (1981) or maniac wife in the indie "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me" (1992). She enjoyed a surprise success at the box office with the mega-hit "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" (1994), supporting Jim Carrey as the tough-as-nails police Lt. Einhorn.
